The Best Gifts Don’t Always Come in Small Packages

It looks so innocent...

My Dear Subscribers,

You received an email alert that I just posted something with a mysterious title. It was a number. Was it the number of typos I’ve made in the last 10 posts? A year far in the future? How much is left in my savings account?

No. It was a spam posting that I didn’t even write. You can tell because it didn’t have even one hilarious and catchy copy write protected picture in it.

If I could create graphics like this, I wouldn't have to steal them from Google Images.

I’m sorry, even though I didn’t create this spawn of the SPAM-i-Verse. In the future, I’ll try not to let these kinds of things happen, even though I don’t know how to prevent them. That’s just the kind of person I am.

That's me alright...

  1. Good!

  2. I deleted it immediately … it looked strange.
    Thanks …

  3. Imagine the chaos: spam on spam action… ick!

  4. I knew right from the start, Lorna, this wasn’t from you! Honestly, I wish those people would get a life–or just spam each other.

  5. I’m not sure how to report it to WordPress, but I’ll look into it. Thanks!

  6. I trashed it once I saw that it posted itself. The audacity of that spam–pretending to be me. I’m a vegetarian!

  7. Harry, isn’t all Spam just searching for the right platter? šŸ˜‰

  8. Thanks for your kind words, John. There is no such thing as “free” anything in this world, is there? šŸ˜‰

  9. Insidious spam. I write one funny post about disappearing spam and look what happens–it hunts me down and attacks me! šŸ˜‰

  10. U, just to be clear, I usually don’t wear the wings when I’m outside. I don’t like to draw attention to myself. šŸ˜‰

  11. Good to know. Misery and Spam just LOVE company!

  12. It had to happen sooner or later. But I’m not gonna let a little Spam ruin my fun!

  13. Yes, I think you’re on to something. I just had to remark about “disappearing” spam and, voila! A spam attack! šŸ˜‰

  14. I apparently had the same problem. I think, for me at lease, it was the spam-i-verse trying to get even for my lampooning spam messages in a blog post. šŸ™‚

  15. An erroneous post? Better be careful. Looks like Big Brother’s trying to set you up.

  16. WordPress is acting up all over the place this week.

  17. Dear Angel, yes, what a disappointment that was. Got all excited by prospect of a new post, went to your site and – ?. Wonder what the purpose of such spam is. As for the finger: I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Thanks for keeping us “posted” otherwise I’d still be scratching me head.

    U

  18. Yes, I saw the two words too–“Free counters”. I didn’t know what that meant–thanks for clarifying, Lorna.

  19. Yes, besides the strange number title, there are only two words in the mail: Free counters.

The truth is that it is not your post. Yes, beautiful angel never posts like that. šŸ˜€

  20. Looks like you have a problem here sir/madam. You sure you have the right place? Maybe you got a little lost? Maybe you’re looking for something you’re not supposed to find? Either way, just go search for it, it can’t hurt.

    šŸ˜†

  21. Thats good, i don’t have to report it to WP:)

  22. Glad I opened this first. I think you can report it to WordPress and they help manage those kind of things.

Silence can be just what the doctor ordered. You know I'm a doctor, right?
